Each striking andiron is raised by a stepped base below the richly decorated pedestals with spiral fluted half round shapes. The spiral flutes are decorated by chandelles and a swaging floral garland while on the side are richly chased scrolled acanthus leaves. At the end of the pedestal is a square block with a richly chased rosette, while elegantly raised on seven lion paws. Above the half round pedestal is a stunning Urn of Prosperity with lion heads and swaging floral garlands. The top of the urn has the eternal flame above a clover pierced trim. Above the rosette decorated block is a shield, quiver filled with bows, a sword and helmet. Wonderfully proportions and intricate attention to detail throughout. — Read Less
