Inscriptions on a wavy-lined border include ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’ and the coin’s weight, purity, and year-date. Within the artwork is the inscription ‘RED KANGAROO’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. Authentication feature The coin incorporates an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter, it is only detectable under a magnifying glass. Unlimited mintage The coin is subject to an unlimited mintage, however, production will close at the end of 2024, after which The Perth Mint will declare its official mintage.
