Ormolu and Iron andirons. This stunning pair are raised by three front toupie shaped feet with a berried laurel band below the plinth with recessed panels and scrolled acanthus leaves flanked by square rosettes. At the end is a circular fluted columns with interior chandelles all below an urn with the eternal flame. Above the plinth is a large scale pieced lyre with a bow at the base wrapped around berried laurel branches (a sign of peace). At the center of the lyre is a floral wreath holding a torch with the eternal flame besides a quiver filled with arrows, all surrounded by additional laurel garlands tied by a bow. The top of the lyre displays draped hanging cornucopias with fruits joined at the top by a swaging laurel garland. The lyres are finished at the top by an elegant acorn finial. — Read Less
